Telepathx Wireless sensor network are autonomous active & reactive sensor network that monitor roads, power lines and essential services assets for faults, events and hazardous conditions.
We utilize 433Mhz, 900Mhz & 2.4Ghz ISM band for reactive RFID sensors, and backscatter technology to wake 802.11g & 802.15.4 based sensors opperating in the 900 & 2.4GHz frequency range for live in-situ monitoring.
Our goal is simple; Develop self managing,a and self powered active and reactive sensor networks capable of monitoring and identifying assets, apparatus, events and conditions within 100 meters of a power line or roadway, and combine that with a powerful relational database that also provides virtual 3d imaging for visual monitoring, mapping and modeling of events.
Reactive sensor networks are ideal for monitoring irreversible events and conditions for the following reasons
[1] Reactive sensors do not require a power source to continuously monitor events.
[2] Reactive sensor networks do not require any management whatsoever and alert you only when an event has happened (reactive, self managing nodes).
[3] Sensors are completely autonomous and do not interact with other sensors maximizing power efficientcy well beyond traditional mesh networks or 802.15.4 zigbee networks.
[4] Sensor life expectancy can typically exceed 10 years greatly reducing service and maintenance fees. (Energy harvsting technology is currently being investigated as a way of powering sensors with indefinate life spans)
[5] Consolidating multiple sensor nodes on our communication aggregation platform greatly reduces operation cost.
